Cottey College is an independent liberal arts and sciences college for women in Nevada, Missouri, owned and operated by the P.E.O. Sisterhood since 1927.

P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship (IPS)

The International Peace Scholarship Fund, established in 1949, is a program which provides scholarships for selected women from other countries for graduate study in the United States and Canada. Members of P.E.O. believe that education is fundamental to world peace and understanding.

P.E.O. Scholar Awards (PSA)

The P.E.O. Scholar Awards program, established in 1991, provides educational awards for women who are pursuing a doctoral level degree at an accredited college or university.

P.E.O. Educational Loan Fund (ELF)

Educational Loan Fund, established in 1907, makes loans available to qualified women who desire higher education and are in need of financial assistance. The loan fund is not a scholarship fund.

P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education (PCE)

The P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education, established in 1973, is a need based grant program providing one-time financial assistance to women whose education has been interrupted and who find it necessary to return to school to complete a degree or certification that improves their marketable skills for employment to support themselves and/or their families.

P.E.O. STAR Scholarship (STAR)

The P.E.O. STAR Scholarship was established in 2009 to provide scholarships for exceptional high school senior women to attend an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the United States or Canada in the next academic year.

The Loving Concern Fund 

The Loving Concern Fund provides short-term financial assistance to California residents whose need is demonstrated to be of a temporary nature and is usually the result of an extraordinary event or crisis.  LCF gifts are not awarded for educational purposes. 

California State Philanthropies

The California State Philanthropies which include the Ethel O. Gardner Scholarship for California women who have completed two years of college; the Dorothy L. Weller Scholarship for California women studying in the field of law; and the Ruth G. White Scholarship for California women studying in the field of medicine, who have completed one year of graduate study.

P.E.O. Foundation

The P.E.O. Foundation allows individual chapters to establish named awards to honor beloved members or to donate to established philanthropies in the name of a member.
